1811 Special Agents Blog
The purpose of this site is to offer some realistic insight and advice regarding the special agent profession & hiring process. I also attempt to do our profession justice by highlighting the amazing work and accomplishments of 1811 criminal investigators. I have attempted to consolidate the myriad of of blogs, sites, articles and videos to provide a useful forum for those interested in or affiliated with the criminal investigator position. Often times I refer readers to the webpages of legitimate resources for details since they can be difficult to find. There are a number of commercial (.com) websites on the Internet trying to make a buck, however, they offer little in the form of substance and the authors typically have zero experience as special agents. Consequently, I routinely endorse books, sites and podcasts created by former special agents or legitimate journalists. I will post new agency profiles as they are completed and will continue adding as a lifetime project. Good luck to you all!
About the Founder
I have over 18+ years as a federal law enforcement officer. My career started off as a Special Agent in the military and eventually led to a civilian Criminal Investigator position within a major federal agency. My experience includes undercover operations, narcotics investigations, child exploitation cases, human smuggling & trafficking, commercial fraud, counterintelligence, aviation operations, war time deployments, and protective service details. I hope this website is a useful resource for all past, current and future Special Agents. It truly has been a privilege to be a part of this great profession.

They both share a passion for the 1811 career field and for sharing valuable information with fellow, former, and future agents. Our goal is to provide valuable content and products on this site.
